Preventive Maintenance

As you run your Alpkem or OI Autoanalyzer various components wear, get buildups from the different chemicals used for analysis, gaskets get worn and valve stator faces get clogged. All are just a  a few examples of the normal wear and tear on an autoanlayzer. At EZkem, we want to make it fast and easy for you to get the various components of your system serviced before issues arise (or even after!). You can send your phosphate cartridge that needs new fittings or heater tubing to us without having to replace the whole thing. We will clean it, replace all the pertinent fittings (mixing coils and heater tubing), flow test it and insure that it is as close to being new as a new one. This saves on your original investment and keeps your money in your pocket while extending the life of your equipment, all while producing excellent results day in and day out. We also provide preventative maintenance on any aspect of your system, such as the flowcell, analytical cartridge, injection valve and autosampler, just to name a few.

Repair

Sometimes equipment breaks, wears out or is damaged. There is nothing on an Alpkem or OI Analytical autoanalyzer flow injection or segmented flow system that we cannot fix, including autosamplers, detectors, valves, peristaltic pumps, and heaterbase modules. Once we receive the piece of equipment we will evaluate it let you know estimated costs as well as any shipping costs associated. We also have a great ability to keep costs down by using reconditioned parts which we will gladly give you the opportunity to take advantage of it that choice is available. We will get your repair in and out as fast as possible so that you can spend your time doing what you do best – analyzing samples!

Reconditioning

Sometimes after five or ten years labs feel the need to replace equipment and for some equipment, this may be necessary, but by and large we can recondition all or parts of your current system and make it run like it did when it was new. Usually, we replace all the flow path with new tubing, fittings, flowcells, debubblers, etc. to give great certainty that it will run like new for many years. We configure the modules or system exactly to your requirements and guarantee it will meet your standards. We go through the various components and ensure that they meet the original manufacturer specifications. When you get your reconditioned system back you will have saved as much as $30,000 and have a system that is ready to run for many more years. This allows you to get back more of that initial investment and make more profit in the future. We can do this with any Alpkem or OI Analytical system or components of the system such as an autosampler or detector module.

Custom Work

Ever wish you could put a heater temp display on a module that doesn’t have one, use the new style Vici valve on your old FS3000 valve or develop a new chemistry and are having trouble finding methods and equipment? Then give us a try. We work on flow systems all over the world and have years of experience to draw from. We have chemists, electronic engineers, software experts and more to help with nearly anything you can want or dream of. We can do board level repairs and modifications, high heaters temps and strange configurations for manifolds just to name a few. If you have a project that’s on hold because you can’t quite get all of the components to make it work give us a call and we will help you find a solution.

The valves on the FS3000 platform were built to last – Swedish technology that is still very capable of delivering precise sample volume again and again. Over time the tubing or stator assembly can get clogged, the shaft or clutch can get worn, or even the bulkhead fittings can crack which all cause the valve to not perform correctly. Send us your valve and we will clean and replace all tubing, flow test for functionality for $325. If there are other bigger issues we will let you know what those extra costs may be. Instead of buying a new valve just let us go through your valve in detail and extend its life for many more years.

The peristaltic pump is a very important component in the proper operation of an autoanalyzer instrument. If it is not functioning properly, it’s possible to have problems with reproducibility, accuracy, and prematurely worn pump tubing. These signs of a pump problem might be observed as poor peak shape, split peaks, tailing peaks, surging, and inconsistent flow. Most mechanical issues with peristaltic pumps can be resolved with service instead of investing in a brand new pump. EZkem offers three levels of pump repair service for your autoanalyzer flow analysis systems; Ismatec Pump Reconditioning Service, Ismatec Pump Rollerhead Rebuild or the Ismatec Pump Repair Service.

Our basic Pump Reconditioning Service includes disassembling, cleaning, reassembling and testing the pump. If the rollerheads on your pump are worn or not rotating properly check out our Ismatec Pump Rollerhead Rebuild which includes new bearings and gears. The Ismatec Pump Repair Service consists of a full diagnostic evaluation of the gear motor, circuit board, gears and bearings.  Need more information? Save your money to put toward a bag of pump tubes or even a new system! We’ll recondition your current flowcell for about half the price of purchasing a new one. Flowcell reconditioning includes cleaning and polishing the inside of the flow cell, installing new windows and gaskets and flow testing to ensure proper functionality. EZkem can test your heater spindle assembly for functionality, re-wrap the spindle assembly with new tubing and/ or replace the heater cable if it’s faulty. During a cartridge refurbishment with heater, we re-wrap the heater in brand new Teflon tubing to prevent any clogs and guarantee proper flow.
